Suggested itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to London. Transfer from London Heathrow or London Gatwick
Once clear of Immigration and Customs, there’s a meet & greet at the airport by your driver and a private transfer from London Heathrow or Gatwick to your hotel.
Arrive at the hotel and check in.
The rest of the afternoon and evening will be at your leisure. We will be delighted to offer suggestions for local restaurants or other evening entertainment, or maybe you wish to dine at the hotel in the W/A restaurant.
Day 2
Private London Sightseeing Tour in an iconic Black London Taxi – Full Day
Your driver/guide will meet you at the hotel, you will see (exterior only) Westminster Abbey, where monarchs have been crowned since 1066, Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Eros. Take a drive past Downing Street, Harrods, London Eye, museums, galleries, the areas of Soho, Piccadilly, Kensington Palace, Albert Hall, and much more before stopping for lunch. No London tour is complete without a lunch in a pub. Situated on the edge of the River Thames we shall lunch in a pub over 300 years old.
After lunch, visit the Tower of London. Walk around the exterior of this most impressive medieval fortress. Built by William the Conqueror, during its history it has been a palace, a prison, a zoo, a royal mint, an observatory, an armoury and a place of execution. It is home to the Crown Jewels, the ravens and famous Beefeaters. From here we move on to Tower Bridge and then into the City of London, the one square mile that was built by the Roman over 2000 years ago.
You will also visit Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Rose Theatre sits, viewing the Roman wall that once surrounded the city and visiting the oldest church in the city built in 1123, your guide will show you the London very few visitors get to see! You will carry on visiting many more of the city’s unusual and fascinating rarely seen monuments and treasures. Still within the city you will visit the site where the Great Fire of London started in 1666, then we travel the short distance around to St Paul’s Cathedral. The masterpiece that was built by Sir Christopher Wren. The city area has a wealth of history and your guide will show it all to you.
At the end of this amazing day out, your driver will return you to the hotel.
Day 3 - Day 7
At leisure – Optional tours available
Full day London sightseeing tour and river cruise. Hop-on and Hop-off open top bus tour with live guided commentary in English, with digitally recorded commentary in seven other languages. Four tour routes cover over 90 stops, showing you the very best of London attractions.
Private Tours with a driver/guide – in or outside of London.
Tours with other guests either by large bus within or outside London or alternatively by smaller bus with up to maximum 16 guests with driver/guide.
Day 8
Transfer to London Heathrow or London Gatwick
Take breakfast in your hotel.
There may be some free time before your car and driver collects you from the hotel for your return transfer to Heathrow or Gatwick Airport and your return flight.
