Itinerary Summary

Day 1

Welcome to Edinburgh.

Arrive at Edinburgh Airport where your driver will meet and take to your centrally located hotel. Afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Day 2

Stone Circles and Seafood.

Leave Edinburgh and head towards Callander where you visit Mid Torrie Farm. You will tour the farm and learn about the unique landforms, climate and farming systems of the area. Following lunch at the Loch Fyne Restaurant & Oyster Bar you will travel through Kilmartin Glen where you will see the mysterious stone circles before arriving to Loch Melfort hotel, your base for next 2 nights. After checking in, you will sit down to a seafood spectacular from the daily catch including such delights as lobster, crab, and langoustine landed at Arduiane Point behind the hotel.

Day 3

Oban Delights.

You start your day by meeting the head chef to learn about the local food used in the 4 course gourmet menu for that night. Later you continue on to Oban, the seafood capital of Scotland. Stopping for lunch in Oban, you can try the Oban Seafood Hut or Eeusk, both excellent restaurants. While there, you can visit the Oban Chocolate Company and see the team creating chocolate delights entirely by hand. Later that afternoon return to the hotel for your 4 course gourmet dinner.

Day 4

3 Rosettes and Cheese Experience.

On leaving the hotel you first cross the ‘Bridge over the Atlantic’ at Innish and continue to Fort William. Lunch today will be at the Station Road Restaurant in Fort Augustus. Expect an ‘off the wall’ food experience in this 3 Rosette Restaurant led by Chef Sean Kelly. From here you continue past Loch Ness to Ardersier Cheese at Connage Pantry where you will see the production room and cheese making process. Overnight in Inverness.

Day 5

Best of British and Scottish Produce.

Leave the capital of the Highlands and head into the Cairngorm National Park. At Aviemore you visit the Cairngorm Brewing Company. Explore companies’ traditional recipes and brewing styles during your tour and tasting. Then you continue on to House of Bruar, a true Mecca for the gourmet featuring the very best of British and Scottish produce. Your lunch today will be at East Haugh House by Pitlochry. The theme today will be game, venison, lamb and after the meal the Chef will come out to speak about local produce and provenance. The afternoon allows for a walk in Dunkeld by the river before returning back to Edinburgh. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Day 6

Travel to London.

After a leisurely breakfast and some last minute shopping, take a taxi to the station for the afternoon train to London. Rest and relax in your hotel or explore the Capital on your own. Overnight in London.

Day 7

Gourmet Experience in London

Today you will continue your gourmet experience in London by visiting the best addresses in St James’s. Accompanied by a specialist guide, you will get an exclusive access to the premises and expertise of each retailer. The tour includes tutored mini-tastings led by connoisseurs in their field: a mustard discovery at La Maison Maille Boutique; wine tasting at Berry Brothers & Rudd; cheese exploration at Paxton & Whitfield; and tea tasting at Fortnum and Mason. At the end of the tour, you will receive a goody bag with a gift from each store.

Day 8

Free and Easy in London.

Today is free for shopping in London. Start with exploring Borough Market, London’s most renowned food market. Spend afternoon visiting Harrods’ most amazing Food Hall and Queen’s grocer Fortnum and Mason.

Day 9

Home time.

Private transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
