Itinerary Summary

Day 1

Welcome to Scotland and a ghost tour

Arrive at Edinburgh airport where your chauffeur will meet you and take you to the Balmoral hotel, a grand railway hotel on Princess Street where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. There will be a panoramic tour of Edinburgh en-route before arriving at the hotel where you will be greeted by kilted doormen. Check-in and rest before the test of your powers with a hidden and haunted treasure hunt tonight. The fun begins with a ghost tour (listen carefully for the clues!) and then, armed with riddles, you will delve deep down into Blair Street Underground Vaults seeking out the answers. Afterwards, calm your nerves with a dinner at the Witchery by the Castle.

Day 2

Edinburgh Castle, sailing and whiskey tasting

Start early with an exclusive private tour of Edinburgh Castle. Your expert guide will lead you through the many highlights within the castle including a viewing of The Honours of Scotland, the Stone of Destiny, the Royal Palace, the One o’clock Gun and more. Next is the sailing adventure, a fantastic ‘bonding’ experience that you will never forget! You will have a chance to ‘learn the ropes’ and put your new skills to the test taking the helm. You will sail under the iconic Forth Bridge and past the inner Islands and see Edinburgh from a different perspective. Keep an eye out for seals, porpoises and puffins!

Back at the hotel, the special evening awaits you! You will have a chance to wear premium level kilts from the Kiltmakers to HM The Queen while enjoying a whiskey night at the Scotch bar. This signature whiskey bar has one of the largest collections, over 400 malts, blends and vintages. Your Whiskey Ambassador will help you choose from 400 varieties, each one accompanied by a special selected snack followed by a traditional Scottish dinner.

Day 3

Highland Games and Sport of Kings

Today you will travel to Highland Perthshire overlooking the Appin Valley where you will participate in the Highland Games which are tests of strength, agility and poise between Highland Clans and Clansmen. You will dress for the occasion in kilts and then, to the skirl of the bagpipes and the swirl of the kilt, the games start. You will try yourself in Haggis Malt Challenge, Welly Boot Hurling, the Highlander Clan Charge and Archery. After a two course lunch, you will enjoy salmon fishing on the river Tay, the sport of Kings! Tonight’s farewell gala dinner will be held at the Officers’ Wardroom on board the Royal Yacht Britannia. A red carpet welcome awaits as you are piped on board via the Royal Brow, an entrance previously reserved for The Queen and the Royal Family only. After a champagne reception and canapés, you will enjoy a captivating guided tour of Britannia followed by outstanding six-course dinner.
