All prices in brochures and on the website are for guideline purposes only. Prices shown are per person and are typically based on a minimum of 25 paying passengers. For a quotation tailored to your requirements please contact the relevant department for the latest pricing and information.

Travel Options

Typically the products in brochures and on the website do not include transport to your chosen destination, please select your preferred method of travel and we will be pleased to quote for this service.

Mileage

Excursions suggested in brochures and on the website with mileage notes are typically estimated for a return journey and should only be used as an indication only.

Free Place Policy

Free place policy varies from hotel to hotel, ferry to ferry company and attraction to attraction, typically we aim to include one free place for the organiser or driver. If more free places are requirement please indicate this at the time of enquiry and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.

Group Size

Minimum group size is typically from approx 15-20 persons upwards, however some hotels, attractions and transport companies can offer special rates for groups from 10 persons or more. Please contact us and we will be pleased to offer you the best deal available.

Currency Surcharge guarantee Schemes

During recent times we have experienced significant changes on exchange rates impacting on the pricing of European and Worldwide tours.

Option (1): Flexi-Tour prices – between 12 and 10 weeks prior to departure, your tour will be re-costed and any refund or surcharge in the value of the pound greater than 2% will be adjusted in the tour price.

Option (2): Guaranteed No Currency Surcharges – for a small supplement Greatdays can guarantee that your tour will not be subject to any currency surcharges.

Option (3): Payment in local currency – if preferred, we would be pleased to quote in the local currency of your tour destination.

Out of hours support

We have a dedicated response line available with extended hours to assist you with any issues that may arise outside of the normal published office hours.

Free use of a Greatdays Trust Account

An ideal and cost effective way for Non-Bonded Coach Operators or Group Travel Organisers with small tour programmes to conform to all aspects of the EC Directive on package travel. This includes financial guarantee, 3rd party liability and repatriation. In this case Greatdays become the principals, please ask for further information.

Accommodation

Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and prices are normally based on 2 persons sharing twin/double accommodation. Rooms for single occupancy are normally charged extra.

Meal Arrangements

Meal arrangements are as specified under each tour. On certain arrangements abbreviations are used. In these cases HB/Half Board refers to dinner, bed and breakfast, BB refers to bed and breakfast and CO refers to cabin only.

Travel Insurance

Greatdays Holiday Services Limited are able to provide you with travel insurance cover at premiums starting from as low as 5.35 GBP (Based on an individual under the age of 75 with no pre-existing medical conditions.)

Greatdays Holiday Services Limited is an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (their registration number is 313486) and which is permitted to advise on and arrange general insurance contracts.

Hotel Inspection

Greatdays has an on-going programme inspecting the hotels and resorts across Britain and Europe. We encourage and can arrange for our clients to make pre-tour visits to the hotels and venues. Greatdays has used all reasonable skill and care in checking the accuracy of the hotel details provided but cannot accept responsibility for their accuracy.

Coach Permits / Regulations

Many, if not most, major Italian cities/towns implement an access charge (ZTL permit). Tariffs vary from city to city, type of coach, and purpose of visit. Generally the fees are paid direct by the coach company at one of the many checkpoints near to the city/town or in allocated coach parking areas. Further details/costs on request.

Financial Guarantees

All balance monies are paid directly into our secure Clients Trust Account approved by BAWTA and held by Barclays Bank plc, Altrincham. Consumer Holiday and Air Packages. Greatdays Holidays Limited is licensed and fully bonded with the Civil Aviation Authority ATOL 4279 and ABTA YO380 for your financial protection and security.

Our History

Greatdays was founded in 1985 by John Beaumont, previously Managing Director of Shearings Holidays for over 20 years. John and his partner, Don Jackson took Shearings from a handful of charabancs in the 60s to a luxury fleet of over 125 coaches before deciding to sell the company in 1984. In January 1985 Greatdays was formed. John’s son Paul joined the company in 1986 and together have taken the company forward, which now employs a team of 30 experienced staff, handling over 2000 group reservations each year to British, European and many world-wide destinations by air, land and sea.
