Explore the North of England

Manchester in the north of England really is a city of firsts; it is where Mr Rolls met Mr Royce, where the industrial revolution began and the Madchester movement started – spilling British Music across the globe. Itinerary Summary

Fly to Manchester

Arrive at Manchester Airport where you will be met by one of our guides and we will transfer you to your city centre hotel.

There will be chance for you to relax and maybe explore the city.

This evening we can arrange dinner in your hotel or one of the many restaurants in the City Centre

Manchester

Experience Manchester (includes a guided walking tour)

Enjoy a two-hour guided walking tour of Manchester city centre and discover the story of Manchester’s industrial past. In the afternoon, why not visit one of the city’s fascinating museums, including the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, the National Football Museum, or the Manchester United Museum at Old Trafford.

Chester

Discover Chester (including walking tour and river cruise)

Travel by coach from your hotel to Chester, and meet with your local guide

Spend a full day exploring the historic city of Chester, famous for its Roman walls and ‘The Rows’, the remarkable 700-year-old, two-tiered shopping galleries.

As well as a comprehensive tour there will also be a trip on the River Dee

Liverpool

Explore Liverpool (including Mersey Ferry cruise and The Beatles Story)

Travel by coach from your hotel to Liverpool and meet with your local guide

Spend the day in maritime Liverpool, the home of The Beatles. Take one of the world-famous Mersey Ferries for a spectacular view of Liverpool’s waterfront, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Albert Dock and Liverpool’s magnificent Anglican Cathedral, visit the Cavern Club and The Beatles Story, or go shopping in Liverpool ONE.

York

Fascinating York (including York Minster)

Travel by coach from your hotel in Manchester direct to York, where you will meet with your guide

The historic city of York, famous for its quaint cobbled streets and world-famous Minster, offers everything you need for a memorable day out. Visit the Jorvik Viking Centre, York’s Chocolate Story and York Castle Museum,

There will be a walking tour of the Old city, and time for lunch

Lake District

The Beautiful Lake District (including Lake Windermere cruise)

Travel by coach from your hotel to Windermere and meet with your guide

The Lake District National Park is famous for its spectacular scenery of lakes and mountains, and its connections with the poet William Wordsworth and the author Beatrix Potter. Take a relaxing cruise for a memorable ‘Lakes’ experience.

Peak District & Buxton

Explore the Peak District

Travel by coach with your guide to the spa town of Buxton . On arrival there will be a walking tour where you will discover secrets and stories relating to this Spa town. You will visit the pavilion gardens, the Opera House the crescent and Devonshire dome.

After a short break from lunch the our will continue via Bakewell and Chatsworth before returning to your hotel in Manchester

Depart Manchester

A final opportunity to explore central Manchester before your coach collects you from your hotel to take you to Manchester Airport.
